November 15th was one heck
of a night! In case you don't
know why, it was the night of my first ever
Filmimation Film Festival! Thanks to Shanning for
supplying the house, projector, pizza,
chocolate-fountain, poundcake(?), and whatnot and
to everyone who came. It
was SUPER-TIGHT! And we'll definitely be having
another in the future ;O
We all had an excellent time and enjoyed the
movies... eh, as soon as it started, like, a hour
late. Yeah, oh well, it was my first film fest
okay, gosh.
At the showing we showed
various great movies including some of mine: My
animation Velouria, all of the latest Twitch-Fast
Films including two new ones, and another top
secret movie that you probably won't be hearing
about... SERIOUSLY, SUPER SECRET, JUST FORGET I
MENTIONED IT.
ON TO THE MOVIE RELEASES!

Big Ol' Lazer
Lizards
There was no question as to whether Lazer
Lizards was a big hit or not at the Film
Fest. Packed
with absurdly great special effects,
explosions and... well, lizards with
lazers...
It pretty much blew people's faces off.
Oh, yeah and this one was made by Piur
(just before going to college, Aaron
(very briefly), and me. AND YOU CAN
FINALLY SEE IT NOW! GO! |

TIME TROUBLE
The people
really liked this one too, even despite
its mysteriously overly edited form seen
here (you'll
see when you watch it). So as is, it's a
little hard to figure out, but somehow
it's actually probably five-times funnier
now! This one was made by Matthew, this
other guy, and myself (based on the
terrible computer game Piur and I tried
making back in 2000). |
Hey,
there's something else too, hang on!

Back when I went to
the Alternative Press Expo, I
made a new little mini comic
to trade with people (and did!). But I
have a bunch left over, so I've put them
up for sale really cheap online. This
is a sort of promo of Run
Or Be Mechanically Separated (Part 1)
with a small comic and a painted game
disc in a sleeve.
It's pretty cool (if you haven't played
it yet, or if you really liked it) and
costs a dollar plus shipping! CLICK

IT NOW OR ELSE ALSO!
Well, I sure did a
HECK-OF-A-LOT of movie making these last several
months and it's been a lot of fun. But now I
think it's time to get back to some other things,
including finishing my next comic book, The
Adventures of Mulder & Bolder Issue #1!
It'll finally be out before the year's end I
believe, and after that it'll be time to get back
to Jonny RPG Issue #3!
This is all assuming I don't die from some
terrible horrible skin condition or whatever else
seems to happen to people these days. I mean
really, you never know. No big deal though. If
things get done, they get done. If not, some one
else do it :D
November
4th, 2008
I HAVE RETURNED! From
several places! I
was gonna talk about one, but then I remembered
some more totally worth mentioning...
SUPER HERO SKATE DAY!

Last month began the
greatest of all traditions
which will likely be passed on to future
generations for years to come... SUPER HERO SKATE
DAY! The brilliant idea came from my friend
Dustin, all for our friend Galen's
re-re-going-away. Long story short, five of us
made (or bought?) super hero costumes and skated
around the heeeeck out of San Francisco! We
actually fought some crime and helped, I dunno,
bystanders and stuff. And this guy asked if his
kid could get out picture taken with us. BECAUSE
BE RULE.
FORT BRAGG WEEKEND!

Okay, then a little while
after that began my friend Paul and I's journey
through the absurdly vineyard-covered lands of
California to stay with our buddy Brett up in Fort
Bragg... Ocean! Surfers! Homeless people! It
was very cool in many strange ways. Oh and we
built... a bed. It was strange okay. The
highlight I think was definitely when I
was able to actually see the stars
(OMGOSHNESS!) clearly for the first time in my
life. It really was like just amaaaazing. Awesum.
Alright, onto the last thing
I have returned from...
ALTERNATIVE PRESS EXPO 2008!
 |
Yeah! I
just got back from the APE convention in
San Francisco
with my friend Aaron, and it was hecka
siiiick. Well, multiple ways. It was all
independent comic books some as you would
guess were pretty sick, so we just stayed
the heck away ;O YEAH!
MINI COMICS! It was tight! I brought a
few of my comics and some of my buddies
Sergio & Liam (Walter's Cruddy Comix)
and traded for MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD-AMOUNTS
of great mini comics all over the show.
Man, the colors and
art! I was like "whaaaaa!" half
the time and totally lost. Ended
up just wandering around aimlessly
talking to the artists and trading
comics...

I
was so rainbow-ADD at the time that I sorta
hardly took any pictures, dangit. But here's
a tiny look at some of the tables.
That cardboard table was great XD

Behold my tremendous pile of
comics! Other than that awesum bicycle-tree
print, I pretty much only hade to pay for two
other things. Pretty tight deal :D

Well that's it then. What
more could you ask? HUH?! Oh wow, there is more.
But I'll get to it later. Oh well... PEAS OUT
